My paintings explore the feeling of home through abstract botanicals inspired by nature. Having lived in Nevada, Colorado, California, and Texas, each landscape has shaped the way I see the world and continues to influence my work. Rather than painting a specific place, I create pieces that capture the emotions, memories, and sense of belonging we carry with us long after we leave.
I work primarily with acrylic paint and oil pastels, allowing each painting to develop naturally through layers of color, texture, and expressive mark making. My process is intuitive. I begin with a feeling instead of a finished plan and respond to the painting as it unfolds. This allows every piece to become its own reflection of growth, change, and discovery.
Painting first became a way for me to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with myself. Over time, it grew into something much bigger. Today, it is my way of honoring the places that have shaped me and sharing the peace, wonder, and connection I have found in the natural world.
My hope is that my work brings warmth, beauty, and a sense of calm into the spaces it lives in. More than anything, I want each painting to invite people to pause, feel present, and find a piece of their own story within it.
